Thomas Murphy , M.D.
Thomas Murphy, M.D., received his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with Biochemistry minor from the University of Colorado before attending Loyola University of Chicago Medical School. His pediatric residency training was completed at Tulane University and Tufts New England Medical Center. Following residency, Dr. Murphy trained in Allergy and Immunology at Harvard Medical School’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
Dr. Murphy has contributed to basic science research investigations at St. Mary’s Cancer Research Institute, National Institutes of Health, and Harvard’s Division of Rheumatology, Immunology, and Allergy. It is his love for patient care that drew him to clinical medicine. He has expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of adult and pediatric asthma, eczema, rhinoconjunctivitis, sinusitis, food and insect allergies, recurrent infections, as well as hives and angioedema.
Dr. Murphy's own asthma, hay fever, and nut allergy enhance his
empathetic perspective. He genuinely enjoys caring for others
and believes in building a therapeutic partnership. This
philosophy helps patients and their family members to lead the
normal, active lifestyles they deserve. Dr. Murphy is certified
by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Allergy
and Immunology.
