Albert F. Finn, Jr., M.D.
Dr. Albert Finn completed his undergraduate training at St. John’s
University in New York City. He received his MD Degree with honors
from the State University of New York in Syracuse. Following residencies
in Internal Medicine and Clinical Pathology at the State University
of New York at Stony Brook, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship
in Allergy and Clinical Immunology. He is board certified in Internal
Medicine, Clinical Pathology, Allergy and Clinical Immunology.
Dr. Finn was Head of the Division of Allergy at Winthrop University
Medical Center, a SUNY Stony Brook teaching campus, prior to relocating
to Charleston in 1992. Presently, he is President of the National Allergy,
Asthma and Urticaria Centers of Charleston. This includes their state-of-the-art
clinical research center. The research center is a nationally recognized
unit having completed several hundred protocols focused on allergic
respiratory disease, infectious processes of the respiratory tract,
dermatology and related areas of headache, musculoskeletal disease
and metabolic abnormalities.
Dr. Finn is Medical Director for the clinical research department
of National Allergy, Asthma & Urticaria Centers of Charleston.
He has provided medical oversight for numerous research programs in
therapeutic areas of allergic, respiratory and dermatologic disease.
Dr. Finn is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Departments of
Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Microbiology and Immunology at
MUSC. He is involved in the clinical experiences of medical students,
as well as being clinical faculty for residents from Family Medicine,
Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. Dr. Finn is well published in the
areas of allergic respiratory disease, clinical immunology and urticaria.
He lectures on numerous academic subjects in his field of expertise
both locally and at national meetings.
